Backcountry Media got its start in the late 1990's.  Sydney discovered the excitement of creating motion pictures when she started directing & producing her own short films, and later pursued her passion for film, TV & photography at Montana State University.

Backcountry Media formally went into film & TV production working in the outdoor TV industry and quickly diversified as doors came open.  We have worked on & contributed to feature films, multiple reality TV shows, & helped develop, produce & shoot docu-dramas for TV.  We also offer our services to businesses  individuals & families for projects ranging from commercials to weddings & family sessions. 

 

Sydney, Erik & Backcountry Media have worked around the globe in remote & exotic locations including: Zimbabwe, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and throughout the continental USA.
